a.s.r. and Stichting Pensioenfonds Ecolab have agreed to transfer the pension obligations to a.s.r. The decision by Stichting Pensioenfonds Ecolab and the transfer of the obligations to a.s.r. are subject to the declaration of no objection from the Dutch Central Bank (DNB).

Today, the legal merger between ASR Levensverzekering N.V. (a.s.r. Life) and AEGON Levensverzekering N.V. (Aegon Life) has been completed. The Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank) has granted permission for the legal merger.

Today, ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) and BOVAG announce they have completed the acquisition by a.s.r. of Bovemij’s insurance activities. All required approvals from regulators have been obtained, and the relevant works councils have issued a positive advice. All conditions have therefore been met.

People waiting for mental health care (GGZ) can, as of today, make use of online GGZ waiting list support via the Zorg voor jezelf app. a.s.r. and Teladoc Health are launching this initiative to provide people with additional support during the waiting period. The support is not a replacement for treatment but helps people to better bridge the period until the start of their regular mental health care treatment.

Last Thursday, ASR Hypotheken B.V. (a.s.r.) successfully issued €600 million in Residential Mortgage-Backed Security (RMBS) notes through its securitisation programme Delphinus. 

A special archaeological investigation was carried out last week at the De Groote Scheere estate near Holthone. More than 30 volunteers – including detector amateurs from the Stichting Overstichtse Oorlogen (SOO), veterans from the Recovery on the Battlefield (ROTB) foundation and the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) – found over 1,100 items, some of which will be examined further in the period ahead. It is the first time in the Netherlands that a medieval battlefield has been systematically investigated.

On 13 June, a special archaeological investigation into the Battle of Ane (1227) will begin at the De Groote Scheere estate near Holthone. The Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE), veterans from Recovery on the Battlefield (ROTB) and metal detector amateurs from the Stichting Overstichtse Oorlogen (SOO) are working closely together on this project. It is the first time in the Netherlands that a medieval battlefield is being systematically explored.
